The starting point is the square in front of the public swimming pools of Equi Terme, after that follow the signs crossing the Lucido river in the direction of the cemetery. After a short ascent on a tarmac road, take the CAI path 39 in the direction of Aiola (technically and physically demanding uphill stretch) until you reach the aforementioned village.
Leaving the large fountain on the left, cross the village until you encounter meadows, woodland and cultivated fields. Here you will start the first single track:

Aiola Trail – (Degree of difficulty: Blue on IMBA scale; Dist +839m / Dslv -105m)
At the end of the trail you will cross the Trekking Lunigiana which again runs alongside the Lucido river, and after having passed an ancient stone bridge, start to head for the village of Monzone. After crossing the village you will then start the paved ascent to Mezzana. Once here, enter the village and then cycle up between olive groves and bushes to reach Fazzano.
In the village of Fazzano you can find the homonymous single track, the second of the ring:

Fazzano Trail – (Degree of difficulty: Blue on IMBA scale; Dist + 1100 m / Dslv -220 m).
At the end of the trail, near the “Paradiso” fountain, leave the Pago trail behind and continue up a dirt road towards Codiponte. From here take the paved road to Casciana, to then descend again towards Mezzana, until coming across the last trail of the tour:

La Molina – (Degree of difficulty: Green/Blue on IMBA scale; Dist + 903m / Dslv -107m).
At the end of the track you will arrive near the railway where the paved road starts again, heading back to the starting point of the ring.
