The trail starts from Via della Liberazione in the village of Arpiola di Mulazzo, in front of the Town Hall where you can find a notice board of the trails. This is a route of medium commitment, however not to be underestimated and a perfect way to discover Mulazzo, territory of the Malaspina dello Spino Secco family. Following the tarmac road you arrive at Villa Pavesi Ruschi in the locality of Piano di Busatica.
From here you start riding along the banks of the Magra river in a southerly direction,
throughout dirt roads of reduced technical difficulty where you can ride in absolute freedom, until you reach the village of Groppoli. Continue uphill from here towards the mediaeval villages of Lusuolo, Campoli, Canossa and with a nice single track up to Castevoli with its castle and Terceretoli. Again a nice downhill dirt road leads through the ruins of the Gavedo Castle and back to the village of Groppoli. A little stretch of a few kilometres on a tarmac road will bring you back to the starting point.
