From piazza Italia, proceed straight on towards the historic center and cross the two bridges until you reach the SS62 della Cisa. Once on the state road, turn left heading north until you reach Migneno, where you leave the SS62 della Cisa and take the provincial road n ° 38 until you reach Succisa Pollina after traveling 9 km of paved road.
Here you leave the asphalt and proceed on a dirt road for a couple of km until you reach a ford near an old renovated mill. Continuing for about 1.5 km you return to the SS62 della Cisa near Montelungo Superiore.
Continuing the descent, cross Montelungo Inferiore and proceed on a dirt road to Cavezzana D’Antena. From this town the asphalt resumes and always downhill you arrive first in the locality of Groppoli and then in the locality of Molinello.
After crossing the bridge over the Magra river, the direction is now towards Previdè, Groppodalosio Superiore and Groppodalosio Inferiore.
At this point of the route you will take a stretch of the Via Francigena and you will arrive at the beautiful Groppodalosio Bridge, also known as the “Devil’s Bridge”. After a few hundred meters you will arrive in Casalina before returning to Molinello following the Provincial Road n ° 42. At this point you have about 8 km left to return to Pontremoli after a ride of 33.4 km and 986 meters in altitude.
