This route winds through the beautiful Brattello Forest that extends between the pass of the same name and the Borgallo Pass. In the Forest you will also be able to come across the ancient Via degli Abati and by a path that connects the trail network of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri (A.V.) with the Great Apennine Excursion (G.E.A.).

In detail, the track, which winds entirely within the Forest, measures 14.4 km with a difference in height of 698 meters, characterized by a compact terrain with climbs that can reach 14/15% of incline, and by some steep descents where you have to be very careful because of the stony and rough terrain.

The start and finish of the route are located in a large open space about 2 km from the Bratelllo Pass, easily recognizable by the presence of a tank for collecting the water used in emergencies to put out fires.

For people with little training we recommend arriving by car from the Brattello Pass following the Provincial Road n ° 39 which climbs for 18 km from the town of Pontremoli, while for more trained cyclists we recommend taking the Provincial Road n ° 63 which from Pontremoli climbs towards Pian di Valle (passing through the hamlets of Casa Corvi, Borgallo, Guinadi, Baselica, Monti, Navola and Veserada).

Once you arrive in Pian di Valle, follow a dirt road for 3.5 km before arriving at the starting point of the ring of the Bratello Forest.

Overall this route is not too demanding, but as always we advise you to use the utmost caution.
