The trail starts from Via della Liberazione in the village of Arpiola di Mulazzo, in front of the Town Hall where you can find a notice board of the trails. The first part is uphill on a tarmac road until it reaches a drivable uphill dirt road leading to the villages of Gavedo and Terceretoli. Keep pushing uphill on a dirt road, not technical, through the woods, up to the watershed between the municipalities of Mulazzo and Tresana.
From here a wide and fun descent begins on a dirt road, sometimes technical, down to the village of Parana and then on tarmac to Montereggio, the celebrated booktown of Italy. Here a wide up and down dirt road called “la via delle maestà” in the woods leads to the Madonna del Monte and its sanctuary.
The Single Track begins among the chestnut trees, until you reach the crossroads with trail 26 and downhill again on a technical part, until you reach the village of Castagnetoli. It’s not over yet… The trail ends with an up and down on a dirt and tarmac road back to the starting point.
