The Valle del Verde route is certainly the most challenging of the 6 routes we propose. From Piazza Italia proceed on via Roma in the direction of the Lunezia sports field and then arrive at Casa Corvi after 2 km. From here we proceed towards the hamlet of Bassone where a long dirt climb of almost 9 km begins with an average gradient of 8.5%.

About the thirteenth km you reach the highest point of the route (1185 meters above sea level) and from here begins a long descent towards Villa Andreetti which you will reach after about 5 km. Turning left always downhill after the twentieth km you reach the town of Cervara where the road goes up again towards the Green Lake and the Verde stream.

At km 26 you will have to face a short but steep descent that from the end of the dirt road will take you to the bed of the Verde stream. Not far from this point, going up the watercourse, you can admire the beautiful waterfall of the Verde with its freezing water even in the height of summer.

After crossing the stream you will have reached the locality Farfarà which is only 2 km from the junction for Fontana Gilenta (frozen fountain) from where the long descent towards Pontremoli begins. The first 5 km will be on a dirt road and the remaining 11 on asphalt.

Along this descent you will cross the villages of Monti di Guinadi, Baselica and Guinadi, before finding Casa Corvi and returning to Pontremoli after 44.1 km and 1576 meters in altitude.
